Hey guys, I've found a few SWFs for players, so I thought you can road test them for me and see which one is better.

First track, and SWF player, is Fresh by Daft Punk. For any Daft Punk fans, you may recognize this as one of their old songs, back in the day, from their album 'Homework'. What I love about it is, although it's a little old, it still has potential for clubs and gets people in a nice dancing vibe in the end. It starts with a sample of soft crashing waves in the distance, and the tide splashing at the shore, and then an awesome warped/distorted/echoed guitar riff, which then stretches and fades off as a dance tune starts pumping in with some soft bass. This creates a good, slow club dance beat, to just cruise along to, letting the music make you move. Fresh really proves that Daft Punk still have it, and that a lot of their old music is still danceable.

Test

Hey guys, this is a test of the player.swf, because I'm starting to use FileDen to host my files. And I've figured out the html for the player.swf to work, so everything seems alright. Just a Digitalism favourite of mine, Pogo, the all time classic of their music. This is the Radio Edit, I just love how it starts so I thought it'd be better posting this that the original.

News

Hey guys, I have some news to tell you. This blog will not be posting just music that, after listening to it, will make you say it's 'epic', but different genres as the mentioned genres of my other post.

So to kick this off, I'll give you guys this:

Electromatic - Boo Radley Project (House Version) [right click to download]

It sounds a bit glitchy and out of beat at first, but then forms into a wicked moshing song. I can just imagine myself in a concert, ripping it up on the decks with this song, and the crowd raving and moshing to it. Good times...

And now another epic tune, but a more quiet song. It's one of my favourites, 'Your Hands' by Norwegian duo Royksopp (or you can spell it with two umlauts over the 'o'). Probably one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. I love Royksopp, and their 'chill out genre' music.

Anyway, here it is, and also a track by a German duo (another European duo) Digitalism. Apollo-Gize final mix is another great quiet song, with warped piano, simple drum beat and some great vocals by Jens "Jence" Moelle. Though the lyrics don't make all too much sense, but then again, neither do most of Miike Snow's lyrics.

BTW, it's getting really hard to find archives of music, so if possible can you suggest a few? Or just suggest a few new artists for me to do a post on.

Enjoy the tunes,

Renegade Soldier

Welcome to Epic Tunes!

I'm Renegade Soldier, and I'd like to share some Epic Tunes I've collected over a few years. You'll find not all of them are to your tastes in genres, but more of my favourite genres like Electronica, Electronic, Acid House, House, Alternative, Punk, Chill Out, Dance, Electro, Indie and sometimes Rock. I'll post when I can and mp3 or two I've gathered. But just remember, the mp3s on this blog are to be downloaded for trial listening purposes only! Don't give them to your friends or spread them over the internet, because they are for your ears only and downloading mp3s is supposed to be illegal.

So enjoy the tracks until you get bored of them and then delete them off your mp3 player. And if you have any songs you think are similar and want to share them, suggest them to me and I'll see what I can do.

Keep listening
,

Renegade Soldier

Here's one to start this blog off:

One of my absolute favourite tracks, really powerful at times, and excruciatingly epic.
